The Duncan (OK) Banner seeks an experienced, digital-savvy editor to lead its newsroom.

Applicants need a newsroom management background, versatile online and print journalism skills, and the ability to inspire and coach the news staff to produce quality print and online content.

This is a hands-on position requiring initiative, imagination and sure-footed editorial and administrative judgment.  The editor is responsible for all news and opinion content.

The Duncan Banner is a five-day newspaper (no Monday and Sunday editions) featuring website and mobile news feeds daily. 

Located 80 miles south of Oklahoma City, Duncan is known as the “Crepe Myrtle Capital” of Oklahoma for its abundance of the colorful trees.  The city is home to 23,000 people and four lakes.
