We are creating a new position in our awesome HR department that will focus on the entire employment function. You will be busy but we promise you will be in a FUN environment where you will learn lots of new stuff. The HR department for Sinclair Broadcast Group is looking for a Recruiting Coordinator who will be an integral part of the Employment team for the following duties:

  • Providing a high quality of customer service support on Employment business processes and operations, systems and projects
  • Backup to the posting process for all locations in the company’s FCC compliance management system, build and maintain applicant source lists by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies and internet sites
  • Partner with hiring managers to create effective job postings and job descriptions as well as assist hiring managers with following the hiring process and provide support where needed
  • Understanding of how Recruitment and Employment align with other HR functions and be able to recognize adverse applicant data prior to or during the interviewing stage
  • Ensure compliance with all legal aspects of the recruiting function including internal policies and procedures, as well ensuring alignment with employment regulations, including FLSA and EEOC
  • Utilize HRIS data for analysis and reporting, and execute and distribute monthly and quarterly reports relating to Employment and Hiring
  • Work in tandem with the Sr Employment Manager on creating recruiting strategies with a focus on being the employer of choice
  • Manage and maintain the FCC compliance and EEO reporting process on a bi-monthly basis. Become an expert in FCC rules relating to hiring and train stations on the reporting process and handle EEO audits when necessary (don’t worry, we will train you!)
  • Assist with the development of a mentoring program for Engineering and other positions throughout the company
  • Responsible for booking candidate travel and ensure a smooth experience in all aspects
  • Other recruitment and HR duties as assigned
