Our Digital Ad Sales Planner provides support for all aspects of the ad sales process. This individual is a member of a highly motivated Cross Platform- Ad Sales team at Tennis Channel where account relationship building and customer satisfaction are keys to a successful candidate. This position is based in New York City.

Daily Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Teams with Account Executive to understand agency/client goals and objectives and brainstorm solutions
  • Accountable for campaign results and provides clients with strategic and tactical guidance to achieve online marketing objectives
  • Combines data analytics and client feedback to configure, operate, and optimize campaigns to meet client objectives
  • Works with all internal departments (Ad Ops, Marketing, Management, Site Team, etc.) on the development and implantation of client campaigns
  • Creates media plans that meet customer needs and maximize revenue for Tennis Channel complimenting TV and Print proposals
  • Works closely with Planning Manager to tactically drive company-wide goals and improve operational sales process
  • Manages client relationships and deliver superior customer service
  • Handles client services and ensures all digital campaigns get live, including collection of assets and liaising with Ad Ops to ensure campaigns go live as expected
  • Leads the monitoring and reporting of campaign performance and proactively communicates any issues to internal team and client, when necessary
  • Communicates campaign highlights and/or red flags to AE/Planning Manager to enable resolution with client
  • Monitors campaigns to ensure delivery (running internal and 3rd party reporting) and assists with billing
  • Ensures post-campaign research studies are properly coordinated, where applicable
  • Delivers campaign recap to AEs and/or clients summarizing performance
  • Coordinates with Account Executives on development of renewal strategies based on client/program insights


  • Ability to manage client expectations
  • Must know media math, pricing, inventory allocations and posting of schedules
  • Above average proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of the basics of digital advertising with a functional knowledge of digital ad products
  • Experience with and knowledge of the terminology and mechanics of the online advertising industry
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Solid communication, analytical and organizational qualities are key
  • Ability to multi-task, efficiently manage time and prioritize deliverables
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Able to work independently and as a team member focusing on the overall success of the team, the clients and the company
  • Knowledge of Broadway is a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in strategic planning (either at an agency or with a publisher) or digital sales
  • Proficient in DFP; Knowledge of Broadway Systems a plus
  • Proficient in Media Math
