That’s what we’re talking about here – telling stories across social platforms with writing that engages and builds an audience, in just a few words. Not easy right? It takes a real love of words and language, nuance, tone, and imagination. 

It also takes knowing the nuts and bolts of a content engine – the editorial platform, and calendar. On top of that, it requires an understanding of brand, including voice and tone. Your words are built on a structure of planning documents that guide each and every post and the creative team behind them. You help concept and develop those content strategy documents as key elements in the creative process.

You will work across sectors to conceive, develop and produce effective social content campaigns.

Work includes content strategy development, social copywriting for digital platforms, but may also include website copy, taglines, campaign messaging, or radio and video scripts. Writing projects should start with a solid creative idea, so your ability to concept is a necessity. 


•Liaising with Strategic Planners and interpreting their strategic briefs;

•Bringing creative ideas and concepts to life with Creative Director and Associate Creative Director;

•Deep understanding of social media platforms; 

•Learning about a wide range of sectors, and various clients' products and services;

•Writing clear, persuasive, original copy;

•Concepting and creating social media animations, GIFs, stop-motion gfx;

•Copywriting for social media platforms;

•Strong proofreading skills;

•Amending, revising or redeveloping digital campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director, account team or clients;

•Overseeing tone and language of social campaigns through the production stage to completion;

•Working on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often on tight deadlines;

•Keeping up to date with social platform updates, popular social culture and trends

•Basic understanding of digital advertising and promoted social content 

•Serve as a content lead/deputy role on a major work stream, partnering closely with team leadership to ensure top notch client service 

•Owning the content development process, ensuring that content is final, client facing and delivered on time 

•Internalizing client details, practices and behaviors to efficiently manage content needs, timelines, proclivities, etc. and ensure that they are applied across all content-related deliverables

•Managing client delivery of assets, feedback, revisions and finalization of content packages directly with the client

•Developing content strategy and associated documents like channel strategies, social voice and tone guidelines, and content playbooks

•Liaising with and effectively guiding production and design resources to serve the account, working directly with those individuals to drive forward content development (creative and written)

•Collaborating with the paid team to ensure that all content aligns with and support each campaign's content structure and requirements

•Understanding of content performance, capturing the feedback loop from the insights team into future content development

•Demonstrate a collaborative, hard-working team spirit, focused on serving the entire client team and the needs of the client

Please note that we will require seeing some examples of live communities or portfolio examples of strategy documents and/or channel plans that demonstrate a strong understanding of the development of these foundational documents.

Basic Qualifications:

The digital content specialist must have at least two years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
