Description:

The Assistant
Editor, Third-Party Content (tax),
is responsible
for coordinating, editing, and publishing articles from a large cross-section of
tax industry experts. This includes searching for potential articles/authors,
reviewing article pitches, corresponding with attorneys and PR firms, executing
publishing contracts, scheduling and managing articles in a custom content
management system, and editing articles for in-house and AP
style.

 

Third-party content is
written by regularly scheduled authors, as well as commissioned by topic. We
also review unsolicited article pitches on an ongoing basis. Article topics are
practice- or industry-specific, analytical, and written with a business audience
in mind.

Required for
consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree in
    journalism, English or related field; graduate degree
    preferred

  • Copyediting experience
    and firm grasp of AP Style

  • MS Word, Excel, Google
    Apps knowledge

  • Interest in pursuing a
    job in copyediting

  • Knowledge of legal
    industry a plus
