Sinclair Broadcast Group is hiring a Corporate Project Manager. This role directs, administers and regulates new and continuing business projects. The primary responsibility is to drive project efforts from start to finish, managing the execution within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while minimizing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large business-oriented environment and have advanced knowledge of project management methodology and basic knowledge of program management. PMP Certification will be considered but is not a strict requirement. Knowledge of the broadcast industry, digital industry or both is a plus.

General Responsibilities include:

  • Working across all Sinclair departments with the project owner and varied stakeholders to ensure scope is explicitly defined and documented and maintains integrity of scope
  • Managing medium to large process and business influenced projects
  • Maintaining project budget and cost adherence
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Managing contract statements of work for external resources
  • Establishing and executing a project communication plan, meeting facilitation; presentations and delivery
  • Demonstrating successful team leadership, stakeholder management, process adherence, accountability, learning agility and risk management capabilities
  • Thorough communication with project teams to identify all project risk and develop mitigation strategies/plans should they be needed
  • Identify alternatives or solutions to project issues encountered. Resolve day-to-day operational problems and conflicts and recommend changes or improvements
  • Provide regular status reports to clients and internal department managers
  • Conduct post implementation follow-up and reviews
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution when needed between team members or product owners

Preferred candidates will have:

  • At least 5 years project management experience
  • Demonstrated recent and verifiable success with large and complex projects
  • Proven experience managing in-house and off-site resources
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MS Project and Excel
  • Preferred experience with SharePoint 2013
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
