Our Executive Producer oversees creative and logistical processes of LIVE, in-studio and Control Room productions. The ideal candidate is a sports aficionado with a strong technical background, a proven track record of working in LIVE, remote settings and studio control room scenarios.

Daily Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Schedules, manages, oversees and produces freelance Talent and Production Crew for Live Domestic and Studio productions
  • Manages relationships with Tennis industry governing bodies including ATP, WTA, ITF, USTA
  • Negotiates pricing with independent contractors and third-party vendors and ensures that productions meet Tennis Channel’s standards and industry requirements
  • Ensures the use of efficient, effective and economically viable production methods at the highest levels of quality and with continuing innovation
  • Manages department schedule and resources to ensure that production items and elements are prepared and in place at all studio and remote locations
  • Nurtures the established, motivated and creative environment currently in place, and maintains a supportive work culture that encourages interactivity and provides continuous feedback and empowerment
  • Works closely with Finance to build and manage department’s budget

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • TV Remote experience, including Mobile Unit technical knowledge, is a must
  • 10+ years of sports experience including LIVE Sports production
  • Solid management experience in production, broadcast operations/facilities and budgeting/cost tracking
  • Knowledge of cable industry a plus
  • A comprehensive understanding of Tennis
  • A well-demonstrated track record and high degree of comfort working with Talent
  • Strong leadership, communication and management skills in creating and implementing department’s production workflow and experience leading technical teams
  • Ability to utilize resources appropriately and to create and manage large budgets
  • Flexibility and ability to switch gears effortlessly, oftentimes at short notice
  • Ability to travel for up to two months during the year
