FOX66 and NBC25, of Flint, MI, has an opening for an Administrative Assistant. This is an important role. As such, the ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and interact well with others. In addition, the candidate in this role must display a professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the General Manager by assisting with the following functions:

    • Prepare and Review Spreadsheets
    • Prepare PowerPoints for station presentation
    • Assist in other duties and projects assigned by the General Manager

  • Support the Business Manager by assisting with the Stations’ Accounting Functions:

    • Collect and analyze financial information to assist Business Manager with general ledger entries and/or financial statements
    • Assist Business Manager with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end information preparation
    • Maintain files and manage record retention of Accounting files
    • Back-up Receptionist with Log Reconciliation
    • Back-up Receptionist when not in the office
    • Assist in other duties and projects assigned by the Business Manager

  • Support the Human Resources Coordinator by assisting with the following functions:

    • Confidentially maintaining personnel files
    • Assist in planning morale events
    • Prepare the monthly employee newsletter
    • Complete reference checks on impending candidates
    • Assist in other duties and projects assigned by the HR Coordinator

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a business field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to work well in a team-environment as well as independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized
  • Must take initiative and be able to multi-task
  • Accounting experience is a plus
  • Broadcast experience is a plus, but not required
