The Bakersfield Californian, a family-owned daily newspaper two hours north of Los Angeles, is looking for a go-getting, versatile multimedia reporter to cover breaking news. You’ll never be bored in this crazy good, unpredictable news town. You should have demonstrated experience covering breaking news on multiple platforms including text, shooting and editing video and still photography. You should expect to cover multiple breaking news story per day and then be able to step back and identify breaking news trends ripe for a weekend takeout. Spanish skills are a plus, but not required.
