E&E Daily is looking for a deputy editor to help coordinate congressional and political coverage. You will help lead a team on Capitol Hill and a group of 20 reporters focused on different areas of energy and environment policy. 


Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily coverage of Congress.
  • Keep track of important political races across the country.
  • Coordinate coverage of numerous hearings and other events.
  • Edit stories for quality and accuracy.
  • Help reporters develop feature and enterprise pieces.
  • Help ensure a strong publication on a daily basis.



  • Strong writing and editing abilities.
  • Experience with Congress, campaigns and federal agencies.
  • Knowledge of energy and environment issues preferred.
  • Editing experience strongly preferred.
  • Very strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated work ethic.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with colleagues collaboratively.
