The Department of Media Studies, Journalism and Digital Arts at Saint Michael's College invites applications for a one year visiting full-time instructor in media studies/journalism/digital arts starting Fall 2017. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two sections of Media Revolutions, the introductory media history and culture course in addition to Digital Media, the introductory multi-media production course and a media elective. The successful candidate must hold at least a master's degree in an appropriate discipline and have experience in media studies or a related field. The department will also have a recurring need for adjunct instructors and will continue to seek qualified applicants on an ongoing basis.

  • Master's in media studies, communications, journalism or related field. Candidates with Master's degrees in closely related fields and otherwise strong qualifications may be considered

  • Willingness to participate as part of a team of colleagues with the primary focus being the learning and development of our students

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Successful teaching experience
  • Social media and digital media/web design experience
