Reporter needed to cover wide, open spaces
If getting paid to explore and write about the mountains, forests and prairies of northwest Wyoming sounds like a dream job, the Powell Tribune may have an immediate place for you.
Powell, located less than 100 miles from Yellowstone National Park, offers easy access to breathtaking mountains and many outdoor opportunities.
The successful applicant will cover outdoor issues — such as wildlife management and the tension between development and conservation — but also a mix of general assignments that range from tourism to local government. Candidates must have strong reporting and writing skills, a knowledge of AP style and an appreciation for community journalism. Photography skills also a must.
