The Palo Verde Valley Times, a newspaper in Blythe, Calif., is accepting applications for a general assignments reporter. Applicants must be able to write news and features proficiently, edit copy and handle related efforts such as photography, video, and audio presentations.

Our newspaper is focused on local coverage, and we require a diverse set of skills for both print and online publication. Experience is desirable, but a willingness to learn and adapt is essential. 

We are located in southeastern California, only hours away from large cities like Phoenix, Palm Springs and San Diego. Blythe is a growing desert community with outdoor recreation, including water recreation on nearby rivers and lakes. The mountains and ocean are not far away.
