The award-winning Marietta Daily Journal in north metro Atlanta seeks a dedicated page designer and copy editor with an eye for detail and a knack for headline-writing. Must have a passion for page design and be able to work on a tight deadline. Knowledge of AP style and grammar is essential and a working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is required. Duties include pagination, headline-writing, proofreading and uploading stories to the company’s websites. A college degree in journalism or design and experience at a daily or weekly newspaper is preferable. Graphic design and social media skills are a plus. This is an evening position (2:00 to 10:30 p.m.) and the editor will be required to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
