Summer's about to pass, but the sun will continue to shine for the successful applicant for an entry-level copy editor/page designer position at The Panama City News Herald. Situated near the World's Most Beautiful Beaches, we have an opening on our 15-person regional hub operation. The hub designs and edits pages for two dailies and eight weeklies in Northwest Florida. Prior experience at a weekly or daily newspaper is a plus. We're seeking someone who knows their way around InDesign and/or Quark and Photoshop, has an interest in learning basic graphics design (locator maps, etc.) and wants to grow and hone those skills.

Job requirements:

- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Microsoft Office

- Ability to design pages that are clean, attractive and informative

- Proficiency in editing and headline writing

- Availability on nights and weekends
