Salary: $11 hour 

The Curry Coastal Pilot, a twice-weekly award-winning newspaper on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast, is accepting applications for a full-time GA reporter position. 

We seek an experienced, self-motivated journalist with strong reporting and writing skills with demonstrated experience covering hard news and features. The ideal candidate will be a self starter who can generate story ideas and has a knack for turning everyday stories into gems. There are opportunities to write and post stories, photos and video on our web site and social media sites.

Journalism graduates preferred, but practical experience considered.  Experience with Photoshop, InDesign and digital cameras is a plus.  Candidates must have reliable transportation. The position requires some evening and occasional weekend work.

The Pilot is the primary newspaper for the city of Brookings, population 13,000, and surrounding Curry County, 22,000. It is one of seven papers owned by Western Communications Inc. We offer benefits such as medical and dental. 

Candidates from the western United States are preferred. The Pilot is a drug-free workplace.
