We are seeking a Web Copy Editor for Special Ed Connection®, a website that is updated daily and provides in-depth practical and legal information, tools, and resources to K-12 special education staffs and school attorneys. As Web Copy Editor, you will be responsible for posting copy from reporters to the site daily, including to the site's story roundups and document databases, and for collaborating with reporters about needed changes and updates. You also will have responsibility for keeping all features up to date, verifying that all links are working, and ensuring that content is accurate, error-free, and consistently follows AP standards and LRP style guidelines.

Write blurbs for some stories posted to the site. Write one daily and one weekly summary of stories posted to the site for electronic marketing. Work directly with editors to pull content from the site to produce several monthly newsletters using InDesign publishing software. Ensure those publication deadlines are met. The information should reveal issues that are of concern in the field.
