Company: Capital City Press
Politics and Government Reporter
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Job Status:  Full-time
Salary:  Not Specified

The Advocate, Louisiana's largest daily newspaper and a growing regional presence, is seeking an aggressive politics and government reporter to join a five-person team covering the state capitol in Baton Rouge. We’re looking for a journalist who can handle a demanding mix of beat coverage and enterprise, with the drive to regularly land on the front page. Baton Rouge is a competitive news town, so reporters must juggle writing for online and print. Topics tackled by our Capitol News Bureau range widely, from the governor's office and legislative action to state prisons, higher education and federal issues. The job also includes campaign and election coverage of prominent state and federal officials.

To apply, please fill out an application for a CNB Reporter (Job ID 1008) at the link listed below. Please attach a cover letter, resume, and clips to your application.
