Description:

With more than 2.8 million followers, fans and friends the property is fun to manage. Our team is prone to experimentation based on data and trends, and we'll try just about every platform at least once. 

The Newsweek SME: 

-  Serves as a member of the senior team at Newsweek, consulting on social-targeted stories. 

- Runs day-to-day social for Newsweek's 24/7 content production.

- Assists where needed on SEO

- Manages strategic/distribution partnerships with a host of other organizations

- Is the point person for all breaking news on social channels. 

- Responsible for weekly and monthly stats reports for Facebook and Twitter, as well as other social media platforms as they develop  

- is free to write for the site as a journalist and to pitch the magazine, provided all other duties are met

- Explores and redistributes content (occasionally) from Newsweek archives  

- Crafts / curates email newsletter 

Pay commensurate with experience - at least 2-3 years working a major media brand on social. Editorial understanding a must. We're a tight team with a pretty liberal understanding of the freedom that digital work allows.
