Medical marijuana may soon be legal in Pennsylvania. We're second only to Vegas in terms of gambling revenue. There's an ongoing tug-of-war over whether to scrap Pennsylvania's prohibition-era system for selling booze. And, we have one of the hottest gubernatorial races in the country. There's plenty to cover in the state Capitol.
PennLive.com / The Patriot-News is seeking an aggressive watchdog reporter for our Capitol Bureau. If you're an experienced reporter, driven to find and tell great stories, interact directly with your audience, leverage social media, and help us serve as a primary source of state news across Pennsylvania, this is your opportunity to take ownership of an important beat and make an immediate impact on state news coverage. You will join a Pulitzer Prize winning newsroom with more than 500,000 print and online readers, and, alongside a strong team assigned to the state Capitol beat, you'll cover and develop key stories. If you're someone who can balance daily stories and enterprise, deliver quick turn-arounds, but also push for great long-form stories such as this: Racism in High School Sports.
