Description:
The Associated Press seeks a Barter and Royalty Administrator for its New York City location. The position is responsible for coordinating the administration of radio and TV ad barter inventory with ad sales rep firms and AP barter stations. The position is also responsible for the tracking, analysis and contract compliance for broadcast royalty and other variable-billed customer agreements. The position coordinates the processing of broadcast election service contracts and orders; special event orders and assists with the processing of monthly sales commissions.

Responsibilities: * Verifies barter inventory activity (new inventory, modifications and terminations) with sales staff, ad sales rep firms, sales ops team members and radio management * Approves and audits the Declaration of Clearance (DOC) reporting to ad sales rep firms * Compares weekly :10, :15 and :30-second inventory line-up lists with ad sales rep firms and ensures accurate updating in WebROX contract and orders system * Coordinates make-good scheduling of missed ad spots and other inventory compliance issues with sales staff, barter stations and ad sales rep firms. * Assists in the coordination of audience, CPM and market yield updates in the CRM system. * Collects and distributes barter reports from rep firms and internal AP barter reports * Tracks customer accounts for the reporting of royalty and other variable-billed (VRM) license agreements; verifies VRM rates and processes billing notices and distributes monthly VRM report to sales teams. * Processes, acknowledges and manages election service and other special event contracts and billing notices * Manages and updates barter reports for JV partners * Assists with monthly sales commission payments and distributes commission summary reports to sales teams * Assists with contract administration activities and responsibilities including contract processing, MDM updates and yearly TV and radio formula audits. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent work experience in advertising sales, sales operations or royalty administration. * Detailed-oriented with good analytical and organizational skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. * Ability to multitask in prioritizing and meeting changing deadlines. * Excellent people skills to interact with sales teams, customers, vendor/partners and staff on all levels. * Strong Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience in Salesforce.com a plus.
