Description:
The Associated Press seeks a Sales Operations Administrator for its Washington, D.C. location. The position supports AP’s U.S. broadcast sales teams and is responsible for the efficient and accurate administration of broadcast customer agreements, sales orders and maintenance of customer and prospects accounts in the company’s CRM, MDM and contract and order management systems.  The individual will ensure compliance with company sales and business policies and work effectively with sales teams in supporting their sales activities.

Responsibilities: * Processes, acknowledges and scans customer agreements and cancellation notices. * Reviews and approves new sales orders for consistency with customer agreements.  * Ensures timely communications and tracking of sales orders with the Orders/Entitlements teams. * Processes and approves requests for new MDM customer accounts and account record changes for sales teams. * Monitors future service starts, terminations and cancellations. * Advises sales representatives on AP services, sales policies and procedures. * Prepares and reviews sales agreements for sales teams. * Reviews rate changes and process assessment notices to the billing department. * Coordinates among sales and other internal AP departments to resolve billing and payment issues. * Confirms customer rate and service history. * Assists with FCC station transfer file for uploading into CRM systems and prepares transfer agreements for station sellers and buyers. * Handles routine administrative inquiries/requests from sales representatives and customers; and participates in special projects as requested. * Assists with the monitoring of royalty and other variable-billed accounts. * Participates in testing of enhancements to CRM and MDM systems; assists with training of sales teams and other support staff.

Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent work experience in sales operations and sales support activities. * Detailed-oriented with good analytical and organizational skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. * Ability to multitask, set appropriate priorities and meet changing deadlines. * Excellent interpersonal skills *  Ability to interact with sales teams, customers, vendor/partners and internal staff on all levels. * Strong Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience in Salesforce.com a plus.

Advanced-level professional competency in written and spoken English language is required.  Authorization to work in the US for any employer is mandatory.
