The Dallas Morning News entertainment and lifestyles department seeks a part-time digital media web producer. This person's primary job is to brainstorm and create entertainment-style digital packages -- ones that tell stories in an interesting, funny or unique way in the areas of music, TV, movies, food, fine arts and Internet cats. Savvy Internet skills and enthusiasm for digital storytelling are a must. We'll quiz you on how you pronounce the word 'GIF.'" The planned hours for this position are flexible.

Other components of the job include:

-- Aggregation of content across Web, conducting news searches to find news, tidbits; editing, writing and display of those posts.

-- Packaging stories and photo galleries together, updating and repurposing past stories and galleries

-- Writing crisp, eye-catching headlines.

Key attributes of a candidate include: -- Quick digital skills. Someone who knows his or her way around the Internet. An eye for items with potential viral appeal. -- Good news judgment, grammatical precision, a flair for headlines, energy, curiosity and an appreciation and urgency to provide the best entertainment coverage with impact and excitement.
