The Fresno Bee seeks a local news reporter to cover immigration, Hispanic community issues and general assignment, including some breaking news.

The successful candidate should have 1-5 years daily newspaper experience, be fluent in Spanish and demonstrate the ability to efficiently cultivate sources and stories. The position is part of a 15-person local news reporting team and the successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to contribute to team reporting.

The Fresno Bee is a digital newsroom -- all reporters and photographers are expected to contribute multimedia, generally in the form of produced videos. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to take iPhone video and manage a video storyline -- sometimes in concert with a narrative story, sometimes as a standalone web element.

In addition, we expect reporters to use social media tools to gather information and interact with readers. 

Acceptable driving record is required.
