RICHARD FRENCH LIVE (RFL)is an Emmy Award-winning political news talk show that covers current affairs and social issues. Created and produced by Regional News Network (RNN) “Richard French Live” features a nightly panel of politicians and newsmakers discussing the top stories of the day.  In addition to daily broadcasts, the RFL website (www.rnntv.com) publishes a daily news blog, opinion pieces and original web-only multimedia features.

Required tasks:

• Arrange interviews with lawmakers, political pundits, and other topic-specific guests
• Foster ongoing relationships with lawmakers
• Pitch interview segments to editorial staff
• Ensure that interviews go smoothly
• Prepare background research for interviews

Required skills:

• A deep political rolodex
• Knowledge of national and local politics
• A hunger for political news
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Must be ambitious and have a professional telephone manner
• Must be well versed in current events and politics
• You will be working remotely, so the ability to be a self-starter who can manage one’s own time is essential
