Description: Halifax ENC has an opening for a copy editor/page designer to join its regional copy desk. The regional desk is based in Jacksonville and handles copy and builds pages for three daily newspapers: The Daily News of Jacksonville, The Sun Journal of New Bern and The Free Press of Kinston. We're looking for someone with a sense of teamwork, fairness and balance and attention to detail. The right candidate has experience writing headlines, editing copy and using InDesign or Quark, as well as Photoshop. Solid news judgment along with a strong command of grammar, punctuation and AP style is required.
