The Springfield News-Leader is seeking a reporter to work mornings, chasing news and working on other enterprise stories.

The successful candidate will be able to gather and report information using traditional journalism tools, as well as social media, mobile and multimedia technology.  She or he will have a demonstrated track record interacting with readers on Twitter, Facebook or other social media. 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience and the ability to work with minimal direction from editors, but we will consider recent college graduates with significant internships and portfolios.
