Long Islander News, an award-winning news group, is seeking a full-time, community-minded journalist to join its enthusiastic staff of reporters in Huntington, Long Island, New York.

We are looking for a dedicated worker with a nose for news and an interest in all aspects of the news media process, from writing and proofreading to photography, layout and online reporting. The reporter will write for our three weekly community newspapers, which serve as heralds of news, entertainment and sports, with in-depth coverage of local issues, politics and crime and top-notch coverage of local high school teams, youth leagues and locally-bred collegians and professionals. 

In addition to writing articles, the reporter will be required to pitch story ideas, copy edit, take photos and attend various community meetings around town.

Benefits include health coverage and paid vacation.
