The Lawrence Journal-World (LJWorld.com), winner of the past three APME Convergence Awards, is seeking a leader for its Web-first lifestyle coverage. The successful candidate would be responsible for editing, planning and leading a seven-person team that creates content for online, our daily Pulse section, weekly 32-page Go! lifestyles section and special sections, and works in concert with an entertainment editor who is also responsible for Lawrence.com, an entertainment site. Top candidates will have experience in multimedia writing, reporting, planning and execution of several projects simultaneously, as well as managing a staff and working with several departments throughout the newsroom. The lifestyle staff also works closely with and creates content for a sister cable news station and KTKA-TV, an ABC affiliate in Topeka, Kansas.

The World Company employs nearly 600 people at the Lawrence Journal-World, Sunflower Broadband, Lawrence Cable Channel 6, Mediaphormedia, and KTKA Channel 49.
