Description:
Under administrative supervision from the AVP of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing & Communications Design Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating design for web and image projects. This involves monitoring, maintaining and implementing image conformity across all units i.e., websites, advertisements, letterhead, etc.

Specific Job Functions: Collaborates with web development and print and publication staff on content and design. Addresses issues of identity/branding, marketing, and advertising development and design images. Edits and revises design projects; trains and familiarizes campus community on policies regarding brand and design implementation and use. Reviews, resolves and responds to issues that arise regarding design and image guidelines and reports inconsistencies. Participates in special projects. Works within the department budget to achieve design goals. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills: Knowledge of project management, with an emphasis in marketing projects; extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, and FrontPage. Knowledge of advertising, publications production, admissions/recruitment, and graphic design. Oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively. Ability to work flexible hours when necessary. Ability to suggest new policies and procedures or recommend changes.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
