Description:
The award-winning Southeast Missourian newspaper is looking for a cutting-edge journalist to lead our crime and courts coverage. Applicant should be energetic and excited about chasing down breaking news as well as executing long- term, in-depth projects. He or she should be open to breaking news online, proactive about sending out breaking news text alerts and helping with streaming video as well as manage a micro website for crime news. The job offers many opportunities to excel in your career. The journalist formerly in this position won Missouri’s Outstanding Young Journalist of the year from the Missouri Press Association. Applicant should be able to demonstrate the ability to cover breaking news and develop in-depth or investigative projects.
