Description:
The Glasgow Daily Times is seeking an aggressive reporter who can handle a variety of stories from compelling personality profiles to city and county government coverage. We would also like for you to be able to shoot photos, video and design pages in QuarkXpress. If you are unable to perform the latter duties, we'll teach you. But you must be a reporter who wants answers to questions and will go where ever is necessary to get them. Essentially, we offer the right person the opportunity to write exciting stories, cover exciting beats and tell the stories of interesting people. Glasgow, Ky., is a 14,000 population town in south central Kentucky. It has two strong school districts, beautiful terrain and an excellent, low cost of living. The Glasgow Daily Times, a six-day afternoon daily in southcentral Kentucky, has an opportunity for a self-motivated, high energy reporter to join its award-winning staff. The benefits include competitive salary, a 401K, and health/dental insurance. Reporters at the Daily Times are encouraged to expand their repertoire by writing columns and editorials. Our goal is to build well-rounded journalists capable of stepping into any position.
