KRBD-FM community radio in Ketchikan, Alaska, is seeking a fall news intern. We are an NPR affiliate, and will train the selected intern in basic radio news reporting techniques, including equipment use and how to write for radio. We would prefer someone who has taken some college journalism classes and has an interest in public radio reporting as a career. The intern will be sent on assignment to cover local stories, and to take photographs for the website version of stories we produce (www.krbd.org). There also is the possibility of live-hosting.
