And earn a master's degree at the same time? That's the opportunity awaiting you in the University of Illinois Springfield's one-year MA program in Public Affairs Reporting. The PAR program is a unique blend of classroom study and real-life work experience featuring a six-month internship during which you'll earn academic credit working as a full-time reporter in the Statehouse pressroom for a major metro, regional chain, public affairs magazine/blog, or wire service, picking up scores of clips. You'll also receive a $585/month stipend and a tuition waiver during the internship. Applications for fall, 2014 are due April 1.
