LA Weekly seeks a motivated videographer to join its editorial staff as its Fall 2013 Multimedia Intern. LA Weekly multimedia interns produce video content for the publication’s website to accompany its print features and online reporting.
Multimedia interns coordinate with the editor, reporters, web editor and art director to produce two brief segments each week, as well as two long-term projects over the course of the semester. (S)he must have excellent communication and organizational skills, well-developed creative and production skills, and be comfortable working independently and juggling several projects on tight deadlines. Interns must have reliable transportation; LA Weekly will reimburse for mileage and assignment expenses. Candidates must be proficient in Apple Final Cut Pro X and Compressor, with some knowledge of Apple Motion as well as any editing software the intern may own. Applicants who are not enrolled in school and who are unable to receive academic credit are ineligible.
