TheCelebrityCafe.com offers a 12-week internship that will enable journalism students to practice their classroom learning in a real-world environment, and showcase their talents on the longest-running entertainment magazine on the Internet. Writers will receive regular feedback on their work from editors, and will be followed throughout the program by TheCelebrityCafe.com's staff of professional journalists.
Interns will undergo on-the-job training to provide a working knowledge of online publishing. This includes: multimedia publishing, writing engaging content for an online audience, optimizing text and headlines for search engines, and publishing on the Internet in a timely manner.
Interns will write on current events in the entertainment industry. Writers who consistently produce at a high-quality level may be offered a column and be assigned to work on exclusive celebrity interviews.
In addition to writing for an online publication, you will be taught social media promotion and personal branding techniques. This is not optional, so do not apply if you are not willing to use social media.
