Fall Semester in Washington – application postmark deadline is March 15

Undergraduate students - juniors and seniors - spend a 14-week semester covering politics, government and other news and feature stories in the nation’s capital for the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire. Interns may also report for hometown news organizations or other news outlets. This is a full-time internship located in downtown Washington.

Program dates: Sept. 4 to Dec. 10.

This internship includes free housing in furnished apartments in Northwest Washington and a stipend of $2,660.

Fall International Intern – application deadline is April 13

2013-2014 Post-graduate Multimedia Fellow – application postmark deadline is April 1

Recent graduates with bachelor’s or master’s degrees are invited to apply for this yearlong fellowship. The fellowship includes free housing in a furnished apartment and a $22,155 stipend. The fellowship lasts for a year, beginning in late August or early September 2013.

The fellow maintains our website, so applicants must have excellent html and CMS skills. The fellow teaches multimedia skills to undergraduate interns – including the use of DSLR cameras and video editing – coordinates group projects and produces his or her own stories.
