Job Description:

Rustic Pathways leads 137 community service, adventure and educational travel programs in 21 countries around the world during the summer.

Rustic Pathways Summer Photographer / Guides (P/G's) will be assigned to one or more of the twenty-one countries we serve around the world. Their photographic responsibilities will include generating impactful storytelling imagery while also being responsible for editing and archiving imagery for use by Rustic Pathways in marketing, sales and collateral materials.

In addition to the photographic aspects of the position they will have the responsibility of ensuring a life changing experience for our students, keeping them safe; providing appropriate supervision while in national parks, towns, airports, hotels and other public places; following Rustic Pathways emergency protocols; managing the day by day logistics of the programs they run, which includes: confirmation of activities, accommodations, meals, community service projects, program budgets, and students allowances; responding to students needs and issues; representing Rustic Pathways in all communities and public places; being role models and mentors for the students and providing a positive working environment for other staff members.

Rustic Pathways P/G's will typically work in teams with other non-photographer guides and will be in charge of groups of 15-20 students with a ratio of 1 guide to 5 students. Successful applicants receive the following benefits: international travel, a small stipend during the period of employment, housing, travel insurance, food, transportation while working, and the opportunity to work with expert guides and to participate in amazing community service and adventure activities around the world. The hiring season runs from February to March 31; we strongly suggest that applicants submit their application (including resume and cover letter) as soon as possible as positions are filled as qualified applications are received. Once positions are filled we will no longer accept further applications.
