The Nevada chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists is partnering with the Las Vegas Review-Journal to offer two paid summer internship positions in one of the greatest news towns on Earth. The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to diversity in the newsroom and has at least a working knowledge of Spanish. The internship is divided into three parts: Time reporting breaking news on the city desk, time in the features department, and a few weeks at Spanish-language weekly El Tiempo. Internship begins in May or June and lasts 10 to 12 weeks, depending on candidates' availability.
Candidate should be a junior or senior in college, in graduate school, or have graduated either within the past six months. Applicants should be registered student members of NAHJ (annual fee is $20).
