Our sites include TheCelebrityCafe.com, our flagship site focusing on celebrity and entertainment news; Sportsrageous.com (sports news); ToTheCenter.com (national, international, business, technology and environment news and opinions); SAHMAnswers.com (parenting, children’s and women's issues); and CDInsight.com (music news and reviews).

Our opportunities include:

Writing. Interns write for one site or multiple sites, depending on the experience they are seeking. They primarily do short news briefs, but may also conduct celebrity interviews, reviews, create Top 10 lists and other special projects.

Copy editing. Interns work in AP style and their work is reviewed before stories are  published.

Research. Interns create biographies of celebrities, authors, directors and others. They do not have to be journalism students. We actually think students majoring in the areas such as history, sociology and anthropology would benefit, as well.

Internship goals:

* To improve research and writing skills.
* To create an individual online brand via social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
* To learn the WordPress and Drupal content management systems.
* To learn SEO headline writing.
* To learn time management in a virtual setting,

Internship Support:

* The support of full time editors seven days a week.
* Weekly progress reports and feedback
* Receive weekly assignments to teach above goals
* Writing and technical support from all editors via email and from the Senior Editor by email, instant message and phone/text.


Some of our interns have moved on to to paid programs at major outlets such as Newsday, The Daily News and NBC.
