360Dx is looking for a full-time healthcare business journalist to join our New York City office.
WHO WE WANT: A motivated journalist to cover the medical diagnostics industry with a focus on the clinical labs segment. The preferred candidate will have healthcare industry reporting experience, a familiarity with the diagnostics industry, and reporting experience covering business and/or finance on a daily basis. Familiarity with the regulatory and policy issues affecting clinical and hospital labs and the diagnostics field is a big plus. The preferred candidate will also be familiar with the rapidly growing personalized medicine space. We are willing to hire a less-experienced reporter and train them, but the candidate must be a quick learner, have a strong work ethic, and an ability to explain difficult concepts clearly.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Your primary responsibility will be producing enterprise stories and feature content about the clinical labs and hospital labs industries for our website. You will frequently cover the reimbursement and regulatory challenges facing clinical labs, hospital labs, diagnostic firms, and physicians, and you will be expected to cover the quarterly earnings of a handful of publicly traded labs, as well as write some daily business news briefs. You also will be required to attend a few conferences and/or trade shows each year.
This is a full-time position located in our downtown Manhattan office.
WHAT WE OFFER: A congenial yet fast-paced environment, competitive salary, health insurance, and 401k.
360Dx is a daily news service focused on the medical diagnostics industry and is owned and operated by GenomeWeb (www.genomeweb.com), the largest and best-known independent provider of free and premium news for the genomic tools and molecular diagnostics markets.
