USUncut.com, one of the fastest-growing digital media companies in the United States, is expanding and looking to hire full-time writers/curators who can write daily. We're only hiring candidates who live and thrive on social media, who are hungry to write multiple short breaking news articles each day, who are online and available during specified shifts, and who have been previously published in national outlets.
The ideal writer/curator must:
-Have experience writing daily for an outlet with national readership
-Closely follow multiple mainstream and alternative news sources and journalists
-Regularly engage with content on Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit
-Have a finger on the pulse of the news cycle at all times to know what's trending and when
-Turn around a 300-word breaking news article within 30 minutes of curating it
-Be able to spot viral content before anyone else picks it up
-3 to 5 years of professional writing experience
-Competence with WordPress, Photoshop/Pixlr, video editing software
-Basic understanding of HTML
-Active presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit
Writers/curators are paid a generous percentage of ad revenue each one of their articles generates, and the most eager writers/curators can be expected to earn as much as $6,000 monthly depending on their level of output and virality.
